Play Avenue was born thanks to a number of live events colliding together that left me, Amanda, owner and founder, looking for something more.
As they say, life begins at 40, and for me, it did! I met a wonderful man, who soon became my husband. We then had a son together who really was my inspiration for this venue.
While this was an exciting time, there was sadness too, as I lost my amazing mum to cancer. As these life events unfolded, it became clear to me – what I wanted from life was changing and my senior corporate job no longer cut it.
So, I started to dream and plan – I wanted to create a business that would enhance our lives, get me excited about going to work and be something that many could enjoy. And so, after months of hard work, some setbacks, a few tears and plenty of laughs, Play Avenue was born!
Opening the doors of Play Avenue was, and still is, a massive thrill, and I am so proud that we have created a safe, stimulating environment where children can learn and explore the world around them. When starting my planning of Play Avenue, my aims were to do it carefully, focus on quality, build a team that works together like friends – and treat visiting families the way we want to be treated.
I think we’ve done it. I hope you enjoy your visit as much as we love you being here.
