When it comes to a day out with the kids, a little bit of planning goes a long way, so to help you make the most of your visit, we’ve put together our most frequently asked questions. Check them out…

Opening times & Sessions

The first session is 9:30am. Play Avenue operates four 90 minute session per day everyday. We also have an 11:30am, 1:30pm and 3:45pm session (3:30pm on weekends).

You can walk in for a pay and play session although we recommend advance booking to ensure availability. We don’t want to disappoint anyone. For your comfort we limit guest numbers to prevent over crowding. Booking online is really easy and won’t time too long!

You may arrive at any time during a session, but each session finishes promptly to allow time to reset the areas and get ready to welcome the next guests. Arriving on time will allow you and your little ones to make the most of your visit.

Pricing & Payments

Every child entry includes a free adult entry. Additional adults are charged. Our prices are displayed on the Plan your visit section.

We accept all major credit and debit cards, including via PayPal if you’re booking online.

Pre-booked tickets are non-refundable, but if you give us at least 24 hours notice we can transfer your booking to a later date. Our contact details are available on the contact us page.

Yes, but booking ahead is recommended. We limit the number of visitors in each session to prevent over-crowding.

Visitors & Your Safety

We believe that children from 12 months to 7 years will find Play Avenue most enjoyable. All children are more than welcome though – especially if they enjoy role-playing!

As Play Avenue is designed for younger children, anyone over 12 years old is classed as an adult in terms of our pricing policy. Please note, all children visiting Play Avenue must be accompanied by an adult, (18 years+). All children must be supervised by a parent/carer at all times.

We offer a discounted rate to educational establishments such as schools and nurseries visiting during term-time Monday to Friday. Contact Play Avenue for more information on how to book.

We strive to be inclusive, considering disabilities, food intolerances and allergies. If you have any special requests, we would like to know and we will do our best to meet your needs.

Working so closely with children, all of our staff have been security checked by the Disclosure Barring Service as appropriate.

Yes, your safety is important to us. We have sufficiently trained staff in first aid, food hygiene and fire safety.

Facilities & Food & Drink

Our spacious on-site café offers a range of hot & cold drinks and snack for all visitors. The café is only open during session times.

 

The play area, however, is a designated ‘food free’ zone and we ask for all your support in achieving this for the safety of all.

We have on-site baby changing facilities, high chairs, bottle warming and selection of baby toys and books.

Our onsite café offers a great range of drinks and snacks. Food and drink from outside sources is not permitted.

We aim to cater for a range of food intolerances. No food is allowed in the play area. Food will only be served and consumed in the dedicated food area.
